Windows Vista Format Cd Si Yapma
Hi, i'll be Ebaying my Acer M5640 Desktop PC very shortly to pick up a laptop to space-save, but was wondering how do i format it then reinstall Vista with no Vista DVD? The PC came with Vista pre-installed, and i wasn't provided with a Vista DVD, i read around and found out that most machines that come with an OS pre-installed have a partition on the drive for formatting/reinstalling, well i'm unsure if mine does, would somebody with a little know-how of computers be able to point me in the right direction for finding out if i have this partition for reinstalling Vista Cheers, Ian.
The reason for your problem is that the HD's in your laptop are ATA disks, and their controller (Intel 82801G Ultra ATA) is not 'natively' supported by 'XP setup'. At least that is the controller used in my friend's dv9000. The solution is quite simple, but you'll need an external floppydrive (usb). Doesn't cost too much, though! I did the following on a XP-computer, because the floppydisk-drive I bought wasn't compatible with Vista. I don't know if the SoftPaq-executable mentioned underneath will work with Vista, but I know it works perfectly with XP.
Download the Intel SATA AHCI Controller Driver, SP32478.exe 2. Connect the USB floppy drive to the computer. Insert a floppydisk and format it. Run 'SP32478.exe' and follow instructions. This will write the driver to the floppydisk. 4. If you have been doing this on another pc than your laptop (like me), then disconnect the floppy drive from that computer and connect it to your laptop. Boot from the Windows XP Pro CD, and when the setup starts press 'F6' (when instructed) to install 'a third party SCSI or RAID driver'.
The setup continues and after a while it asks you about the third-party device. Follow instructions to add support for a device, and choose the right one (82801GBM SATA AHCI Contoller Mobile ICH7M). When the device has been added, continue setup ('Enter') and then it will find your partitions. Good luck, let me know if you need further help! Advanced Systemcare 6 Portable Setup Key For Windows.
